It's one question really, that I'd like to ask you after no-doubt 'brainstorming' your plans for 2016, as everyone does, laying in a food coma post-Christmas and New Years.
And it's this one...
"What are you going to do specifically?"
That's the question; short and concise.
I've been having meeting after meeting with my clients this past week, and I'm noticing the same things.
You all have grand ideas, overarching schemes, but not one specific thing clearly identified to help you get there. Which is madness, because most of these goals are far too big to get done in one sitting - which leaves you in a state of 'analysis paralysis'.
So, what are you going to do specifically, today; tomorrow; next week, to get you closer to where you want to be? To solving a problem that has been holding you back? To learn something that will greatly increase your understanding in your role? What are you going to do, specifically?
For me, I'm going to need to focus on one main area of my business and that is case studies and testimonials. I've neglected it for too long and it's costing me business. So if you've worked with me before, head to Google right now, type in "J.C. Steadman" and leave me an honest review. For there will be people who might want to use my services, but are still on the fence.
My specific action to this is to email a past client every day, and ask for the testimonial. Simple.
There are plenty of other things I need to implement and learn this year and every year following.
Anyone who says otherwise is a fool, and I suggest distancing yourself from them.
